The Power of Investing in Yourself

The Power of Investing in Yourself

The Power of Investing in Yourself

In this episode of The Leap to Freedom Show I talk about the importance of investing in yourself for both personal growth as well as mindset!!  Yes, it is not just about investing to get smarter….it is so much more than that!  I am a life long learner and have been for as long as I can remember.  It is part of me.  I love teaching and I love learning and for many years I was just doing it for myself.  But what I did not realize was the cumulative effect of this on my business.

Investing for Personal Growth

Investing for personal growth is the first reason most people would learn something new.  You want to do something new so you learn how to do it, like learning Facebook Ads or how to cook something.  Having said that, there are a handful of people out there that do not even invest in themselves and choose not to grow personally.  Now, think about it from a consumer point of view….who would you rather invest your money in….someone who does not keep current with ideas and philosophies or would you prefer to invest in someone who never changes.  Your choice!

Investing for Reciprocation

The Universal Laws come into play here on so many levels.  If have gone into business to make money right?  One can assume that you expect people to buy whatever it is you are selling.  Well, how can you expect the univers to provide paying clients if you won’t be one yourself!?

The Power of an Hour

In this episode of The Leap to Freedom Show I give you tips on how to make the most of building a business in an hour a day!  Yes, and hour a day…the power hour!  I know many of you are working full time while you build your business on the side and that time is super limited and so I thought it was the perfect time to show you how I did it myself!  Being a single parent, while working full time and creating 2 businesses on the side takes some serious time management skills!  The tips we are talking about today are Goals, Planning and Focus!  Enjoy.

Goals & Planning

Setting realistic goals that are not so much as outcome based rather than action based can help you not loose interest or passion in what you are doing.  Planning is key to setting yourself up for success.  Planning how you will spend that time each day is key to avoid getting caught in the latest Netflix series or the FB rabbit hole!

Power Hour Focus

When I was studying for my CPA I used classical music to help me focus!

3 Key Money Mindsets for Successful Entrepreneurs

3 Key Money Mindsets for Successful Entrepreneurs

3 Money Mindsets for the Successful Entrepreneur

On this episode of The Leap to Freedom Show I talk about a few of the many mindsets required to be a successful entrepreneur.  After pondering my goto list of mindsets that I teach, today I chose to talk about Contribution, Promotion and Admiration.  These are all based on the teachings of Harv Eker, who was a game changer in my own financial success path.

Contribution

Focusing on contribution should be the foundation to your entire business!  And life for that matter!  Life is not just about you.  Contributing to other people’s lives is a must if you want to be rich!  And I will say right here….you need to be OK with the word “rich”!!

Promotion

Learning to and being OK with promoting yourself is key to been finanically successful as an entrepreneur.  Mindset check-in….how do you feel when someone tries to sell you something?

Admiration

The principles of the Law of Attraction come into full effect with this one!  You gotta admire rich and successful people.  Even better, hang out with them and follow what they do!

Are You Dreaming Big

Are You Dreaming Big

Dreaming Big

Are you a woman who has a big vision but is holding yourself back?  If this is you (and if it is not you….there is always value in here!) join me as I dive into three ways women hold themselves back and end up play small and a couple of ways you can leap forward!

While there are so many things that can keep us from dreaming big but not playing big, they pretty much all stem from fear!  Take some time to think about your visions….are they small or are they big?  Now take it a layer deeper if you actaully do have big visions….are you living them out??

Sometimes when we have gigantic visions we tend to not take action because they can be to daunting.  So instead of abandoning your dreams, take small steps every day towards it.  Don’t feel you have to take huge leaps, little leaps will get you there faster because it will feel easier.

In the past, if you have attempted to take on a big vision and have become derailed….that’s ok….just get back on track.

10 Tips to Leap from your Day Job to Living your Purpose

10 Tips to Leap from your Day Job to Living your Purpose

10 Tips to Leap from your Day Job to Living your Purpose

Tired of the daily grind?  Want more out of life?

Maybe it is time to start listening to your heart’s desires and living your life on your terms and living your purpose!

If you are feeling unsettled in your job it is time for you to do some self-discovery to see what is driving that feeling.  Is it that you don’t like the actual work you are doing?  Do you not like the management (this is the most common reason people leave their job)?

Or….

Do you have a deep yearning for something more?

Taking the leap from employee to entrepreneur can be one of the most exhilarating experiences or it can be one of life’s most challenging experiences.  Creating a strategic plan is the difference between the two!  Planning a successful leap will make the whole experience much less stressful and rewarding.

My personal journey from corporate to full time entrepreneur was a long one!  As a single parent with a mortgage and a lucrative role in the corporate world it took some considerable planning, both personally and professionally.

Here are 10 things to consider when planning to quit your day job in pursuit of purpose, prosperity,  and freedom.

1.  Have a clear vision of what you would like your life to look like.  I am not talking about just material things but all aspects of your life.  Family, friends, the number of hours you work, where you will live, to name a few!

2.  Make an overall plan.

3.  Set a date and be sure it is realistic and make sure it corresponds with your overall plan.

4.  Get support from family and friends.  This is not as easy as it looks because those that love you will more often than not think you are crazy for leaving a lucrative job….even if you are miserable.

5.  Do your best to have no debt when you leave….this can take some time!

6.  Save at least 6 to 12 months of expenses and reduce expenses as much as possible to reduce financial stress for the first couple of years.

7.  If possible start your company on the side.  In a perfect world, you would run them lateral until the income generated from the business is relatively close to your salary from your job. This is not always possible so it is important to have lots of savings.  And then save some more!  Life happens!  And you don’t want to have to go back to your job!  I ran 2 companies on the side until I made the leap!

8.  Consider using a coach to help you plan and hold you accountable to your plan.  This truly was the key to my success in leaving the corporate world!  I always held the vision but the coach pushed me to get there!  This is now my passion…to support those that want to take the leap!

9.  If time is on your side, consider multiple streams of income as long as they don’t take up all your time.

10.  Consider doing part-time work while you ramp up your business.  You will be amazed at how much money life costs!

Taking the leap from employee to entrepreneur is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.  It has also been one of the hardest….and I have not once regretted my decision.

Freedom, purpose and prosperity are waiting for you.
